Scouts BSA · Lithia Springs, Georgia
Not just any old Boy Scout troop.
We’ve been around since before your parents were born. That’s a pretty long time.
Every Monday night, all year.
One trip a month, rain or shine.
From a battleship to a barrier island.
About us
Four-square, advancement, and a lot of nights outside.
Troop 62, based in Lithia Springs, Georgia, meets every week at 7:00 PM on Monday nights. We camp once a month. At the meetings, we play some 4-Square, check off Scout Advancements, and a bunch of other fun activities.
Any boy interested in Scouting is welcome to visit a meeting and see what the troop is like — no commitment, nothing to join. Just email us at troop@scouttroop62.org a week before you come.

Scout Sunday
Once a year, we cook.
The troop takes over Lithia Springs Methodist Church for Scout Sunday, and we serve spaghetti to the whole place — Scouts and church members alike, whether you pitch in behind the table or just buy a plate.
Those plates are the whole reason we get to camp. Scout Sunday is what sends the troop to Woodruff Scout Camp every June, and it means no family pays for the week. Camp feeds the Scouts and puts a roof over them once they’re there.
First time visitors
Your first Monday.
There’s nothing to sign up for and no forms to fill in. All we ask is that you email us at troop@scouttroop62.org about a week before you come — then turn up on a Monday night and see what the troop is actually like.

Open in Maps → - Who can join
- Boys aged 11 through 17 — or 10, if he’s finished fifth grade or earned his Arrow of Light. Younger than that and it’s Cub Scouts first — Pack 62 meets in the same building, Mondays at 6:00 PM.
- What it costs
- $85 a year to Scouting America, waived for military families — and nothing else. No troop dues, and the camping is free; the troop covers every campout. The full breakdown.
- What to wear
- Whatever you’re comfortable in — you don’t need a uniform to visit.
- Who to look for
- Bill Camp, our Scoutmaster. If you can’t spot him, any of our Assistant Scoutmasters — Braxton Esancy, Jessica Arther, or Joe Agey — will get you pointed the right way.
Parents, we’d rather you came along — sit in, watch how a meeting actually runs, and ask our Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmasters whatever you want. You don’t have to, though. Plenty of boys turn up on their own and that works fine too.
And if you want to know what being a Scout here is really like, rather than how the grown-ups pitch it, find Samuel Arther and ask him. He’s one of our Patrol Leaders and he’ll give you the straight version.
